Wesley Memorial Clinic

Last Friday, I visited the Wesley Memorial Clinic in Abingdon. This clinic provides free health care to over 400 people. They charge nothing. All staff, including the doctors and nurse practitioner and support staff are volunteers. The clinic includes a pharmacy, all supplies of which are donated. The building housing the clinic was bought by the Pleasant View United Methodist Church. People from church also renovated the building and recruited all the staff. All of this was done by one church!

This is how the matter of the uninsured should be addressed, not by a massive government program that will cost taxpayers trillions and put bureaucrats in charge.
